A Prayer in spring
By Robert Frost
Oh, give us pleasure in the flowers today;
And give us not to think so far away
As the uncertain harvest; keep us here
All simply in the springing of the year.
Oh, give us pleasure in the orchard white,
like nothing else by day, like ghosts by night;
and make us happy in the happy bees,
the swarm dilating round the perfect trees.
And make us happy in the darting bird
that suddenly above the bees is heard,
the meteor that thrusts with needle bill,
And off a blossom in mid-air stands still.
For this is love and nothing else is love,
The which it is reserved for God above
To sanctify to what far ends He will,
But which it only needs that we fulfill.
Ms. Toni
Ms. Toni has taken a short leave of absence. We miss her very much and look forward to her return.
Video Library
We have a wonderful video library located in the office. We welcome all parents to check it out. We have videos ranging from: potty training, discipline, health and safety, and a number of entertaining videos that are fun for the entire family. Parents are welcome to check these videos out for a month at a time. Please stop by.
Picture Day
Picture day went very well. The children looked great and they did a wonderful job listening to Jessie the photographer.
Memorial Day
We are closed Monday May 26th for Memorial Day.
Summer Program
We have started to plan the summer program and it is full of fun and exciting things to do. Everyone in the preschool 2yrs and up will be asked to pay the annual summer fee of $100 to help cover the cost of all the planned activities. Guests visiting our school include: Happy Hollow, Sandi & Stevies Bug Musical, P&T Puppets, Mr. Steve’s Amazing Science, a petting zoo, the fire department, and an ambulance.
We will also have bike day and bounce houses at the school. Of course, we will have tons if outdoor activities such as water play, toy car wash, water art, nature walks. Look for the summer calendar in the June newsletter.
The theme for VBS (vacation bible school) this summer is The Pirates Who Don’t Do Anything. The children will learn about Moses, Daniel, Paul, and Matthew through a week long series of stories, art, songs, and games. At the end of the summer the preschool would like to invite all our families to a BBQ at the park to celebrate the summer.
We are looking forward to a fantastic summer with you and your children!
